Arbitration

A process carried out by an Arbiter to consider the evidence of a possible breach of any part of the License Stack, which puts the evidence gathered and the conclusion on-chain. Only an arbitrator can release any funds in-escrow, Packets, changes to reputation based on the conclusion.

Once a dispute is submitted to an Arbiter, the parties involved agree to the resolution. There is no process of appeal.

  1. Recording on the Reputation Ledger of either party.
  2. Releasing funds held in escrow.
  3. Transfer of disputed Packets

The service from an Arbiter is paid as a proportion of the amount in Escrow, or a proportion of the Attribution of the disputed Packets. Arbiters are free to set and advertise these proportions as they see fit.
